AUBREY MEYER
Aubrey Meyer is Director of the Global Commons Institute (GCI), a London-based think-tank that focuses on policy solutions addressing climate change. As chief architect of a policy framework for carbon rationing called "Contraction and Convergence, (or C&C)" Meyer has made an extraordinary impact on the on-going international negotiations surrounding climate change.

Institute that he directs have turned the Precautionary Principal, The principal of sustainable development, the polluter Pays principal and the principal of Equity (both intergenerational and international, into detailed long term arrangements to which all nations can agree. It is called contraction and convergence. At its heart is equal per capita sharing of emissions allocations."
The UK's Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution used it as the basis of its recommendations.
Aubrey is a successful violinist as well and was lead in the Dublin orchestra .
